the "fry up"

For this tasty dish you need the left overs from your puchero.
AND
A few cloves of sliced garlic
Olive oil (to cover base of pan).
Tomato paste or better still "tomate frito" (peel and slowly fry tomatoes in olive oil..add salt/sugar/herbs of choice)
Fried diced potatoes.
Cook it like this.....
In a large flat frying pan put olive oil,chick peas and garlic. Fry gently till lightly browned.
Add diced carrots and left over meat, and fried potatoes, simmer all together for a few minutes.
Just before serving add the tomate frito or paste and you have a very tasty dish.

Alternative rice dish.....to be cooked in oven...
Ingredients:
Chick peas, veg and liquid left over from puchero.
extra water if needed ( total liquid =aprox double the quantity of rice)
Rice...100grms per serving.
Spare ribs cut into chunks and fried(in olive oil) with abundant garlic slices.
Place all ingredients together in oven dish and cook in medium/hot oven till rice is cooked and liquid gone.
